Am I right for you?

There are limits for each of us in solving our own problems alone. Often friends and family are too close to the situation to offer constructive insights into the changes you need to make in order to improve your life. We all need an objective outside person to help us when we are in a difficult personal situation. My lifetime of relevant experiences including my own psychotherapy, personal Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) work, years of having bright lines in additional to my experience of being off the lines (Reboot Rezoom) in Bright Line Eating along with the many courses taken and the service work I've done in that community, stress management help I’ve been given, and all my training makes me a powerful ally for you to select as your outside mirror. I don’t just sit and nod my head while you talk. I believe in interactive psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), coaching for people doing Bright Line Eating with an interest in parts work (IFS), and stress management. I give you feedback and encourage you to explore what you need and want in life. While coaching people from the Bright Line Eating community, clinical psychology, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and stress management are my areas of expertise, you are the expert on yourself. Together we can make a good team for solving your challenges.

“Ownwork” – You are working with me for a limited period of time even if you choose initially to do weekly appointments. You may be spending an hour a week in a session and there are 167 hours in the rest of your week. It’s important for you to maximize the benefits of your appointments by thinking about and doing your “ownwork” between sessions. You and I will decide as a team, what your treatment goals will be and how they will be measured so you know if you are making progress or not.

Generally, after starting your inner work, you feel slightly better after the first session. If you are not feeling better by the third session, you and I may not be the best fit for your needs. I will help you find someone who is more appropriate for you if that is the case.

In the one-time sessions of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and stress management, suggestions will be given for you to continue your “ownwork” to assist in your healing and make your investment in yourself well worth the time and money. The same is true of coaching if you choose only one session.

My primary goal is complete confidentiality for all my clients. It’s important to maintain and protect the privacy of my clients in our small town environment. How I handle seeing my clients in public places is to smile if I am in close proximity. This is a normal response from me to people in the community. If the client would like to engage in an exchange, they must initiate the conversation. This is also true in the online Bright Line Eating community. Your confidentiality is my primary focus.
